This project totally transformed the original 1960's property into a family home fit for 21st Century Living incorporating a single storey rear extension and side extension incorporating Garage and mezzanine Study/Bedroom over, clad in horizontal timber cladding to unify the finished building. The existing staircase was reconfigured to allow more practical internal circulation. The project successfully argued against the planning restriction that any extension should be "subservient to the existing property" by maintaining the existing roof ridge line over the new side extension.
