Elected a Chartered Member of the Royal Institute of British Architects in 1996, Mart has lived and worked in Cambridge for the past 20 years, establishing his own Practice in 2010 to focus on the design of innovative, intelligent and sustainable habitats.

His life experience of growing up on a hill farm in the Yorkshire Dales, studying in the historic city of Oxford and the planned city of Washington D.C., with a number of years working in London and the Alps, inform his outlook and insight into the challenges and benefits of both rural and urban living.

Mart has sat as RIBA Representative on the Design & Conservation Review Panel of Cambridge City Council and has previously been a Shortlisting Panel Member for RIBA East Awards as well as a visiting critic for Cambridge University School of Architecture.
